Whether on highways or handling other large-scale projects, Vögele’s Super 1900-5(i) is capable of paving widths between 2.55 m (8.2 ft) and 11.5 m (37.8 ft), while the Super 2100-5(i) can pave widths up to 14 m (46 ft). Both “Dash 5” pavers feature a flexible, modular system. Control units positioned on the screed allow all initial steps, such as switching on lights, starting the diesel engine, booting up the machine control system, putting up the hardtop, and lowering the screed, to be performed from ground level.
The combination of Paver Access Control (PAC) and Light Package Plus is designed to provide convenience and safety with the integrated lighting providing even illumination of the whole working area.
Offering automation of processes, the road pavers use assistance and control systems to help prevent paving errors, increase efficiency, and improve paving quality. The Niveltronic Plus Assist system helps the paver operator pave the road accurately in predefined cross-sectional profiles. The Edge Control function makes it possible to control screed width, as well as to steer along a tensioned wire with the physical reference being detected with the aid of a sonic sensor.
Both pavers are equipped with a liquid-cooled six-cylinder diesel engine from John Deere. The Super 1900-5(i) has an output of 149 kW at 2,000 rpm, whereas the engine of the Super 2100-5(i) delivers 187 kW at 2,000 rpm. The pavers are also equipped with an ECO mode.
